Alte news, da gab's mal einen Artikel auf NASCAR.com (glaub ich) zu, weil ernsthaft angedacht war zur NASCAR Sprint Cup umzutaufen. Sprint ist hier ja der Name einer Telekommunikationsmarke.
Allerdings erinnere ich mich an Aussagen von NASCAR Officials dass dies nicht passieren würde. War irgendwann im September/Oktober.

Well, first off, we've got over 15 million Nextel customers today using the Nextel product, and that product brand going forward. Over 500,000 avid fans bought the Nextel product last year, and, you know, we have a lot of momentum in that space. You know, so one of our key considerations in going forward is that, you know, the existing users and future users of the Nextel product understand that that brand hasn't gone away. At the same time, it will be very obvious that Sprint has entered the sport together with Nextel -- inaudible -- a lot of products.
